Careers at GuelphCBT

We are currently looking for Psychologists or Psychological Associates (autonomous or supervised practice) who have a commitment to providing evidence-based treatment to join our practice.  Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario is required. Supervised practice positions for recent PhD graduates are also available. Full or part time positions available.

We are a collaborative group of psychologists and psychiatrists providing high-quality evidence-based assessment and treatment services, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness based therapies.  We offer assessment and therapy services primarily for adults, with the plan to expand capacity to provide services across the lifespan in the future.

Our clinic offers brand new office space, highly competitive compensation, administrative support, supervision and consultation, and a collegial and fun working environment.  As clinicians ourselves, we understand the importance of independence, balance, and professional growth. Therefore, Guelph CBT strives to create a work environment where this is the standard for all of our clinicians.  Psychiatry colleagues offer the opportunity to collaborate in clinical care. We also meet regularly for case consultation and didactic opportunities, and work as a team to provide the best care possible for our clients.

If you are interested in applying to work with us, please send a current CV and cover letter to hhood@guelphcbt.com.

Supervision

Our psychologists provide opportunities for supervision to psychologists-in-training (MA or PhD level, or supervised practice) and licensed psychologists looking to expand their areas of expertise or competence.  Dr. Hood has provided consultation to other allied health professionals, including physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and occupational therapists, in diagnostic assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, and the provision of CBT.   Dr. Kelleher offers supervision and consultation to other licensed practitioners and community organizations regarding psychiatric care and service delivery. Please reach out to discuss how we can help you expand your training and enhance your skills.
